About Us

Seli’s Products began long before there was a business.

I grew up in the Philippines where cooking was done by the wood fire. Meals were simple, practical, and made from what we had. Moringa or malunggay was part of everyday life. It wasn’t called a superfood. It was simply food that sustained us.

In 2014, when my husband and I bought our home, there was a mature moringa tree in the backyard. Quietly, it became the deal breaker for me.

That tree felt like home.

Seeing it brought back memories of late afternoons, simple meals, and the steady rhythm of cooking by the fire. It reminded me of stretching what we had and making sure everyone ate.

The harvest was abundant - too abundant to waste.

So I began drying the leaves, steeping them for tea, blending them into noodles and baked goods, and sharing them with family and friends. What began as preserving something meaningful slowly became something more.

In 2018, I started offering small batches at local farmers markets and craft fairs. Not as a miracle product but as something familiar. Something rooted. Something that carried memory.

Seli’s continues in that same spirit today.

Simple food. Crafted carefully. Inspired by what sustained us.

From the wood fire in the Philippines to my kitchen in Maui, I am still cooking from what I know and from what feels like home.
